Super Easy DIY Lace Ring
Yesterday I saw the coolest ring online.....here... and I knew I could make something similar. Not dipped in silver or anything like that, much cheaper... and easier.
You just need a few things...
I used the edge for my ring, and I used three sections. I love the little sunflowers! Once you've got your section cut out, and it's big enough for your finger of choice plus a little overlap, lay it out on a piece of paper and brush some Mod Podge on.
I suggest moving the lace around a few times, just to make sure it doesn't stick to the paper. Wax paper might actually be better to use, I just didn't have any... and I just thought of it.... hmmm...
After about 20 minutes (I think), the glue will be tacky. That's when you want to shape the lace into a ring shape. Press the ends together and leave it to dry completely. I left mine to dry overnight. A few hours should do the trick. (Sorry, I forgot to take a picture...)
Once it's dry, take it outside and give it a few shots of silver spray paint, let it dry, and you're done.
You just need a few things...
- a small piece of lace, enough to wrap around your finger with a little overlap
- Mod Podge (or fabric stiffener would probably work here as well)
- spray paint
- scissors
- brush
- piece of paper (wax paper would be great)

I would have loved to do this in a crocheted lace- I just have to find some! I can imagine this ring in so many patterns. In a ton of different colors. Oh the possibilities!!!
If you try this, let me know! Show me a picture! I'd love to see what you make!

Happy Mother's Day! ♥
Hoping all you mommies out there are having a nice day, whether you're at work, at home, on the road, somewhere else... where ever you are. Mommyhood is a crazy ride, and I love every second of it.
So what did you do for your mommy today? I made this:
OK, I didn't make everything... I wish I made the Willow Tree figure, I love those things.
Mom loves baths, so a bath-y thing was a must. I went local for it, and got some bath oil fizz from Mountain Country Soap.
Then I made some Lavender Sugar Scrub. I got the 'recipe' from Less-Than-Perfect Life of Bliss. It was super easy- I used lavender-scented soap. Cut a tag out of scrapbook paper, tie it on with some raffia (left over from my candle holders), a little hot glue and some more scrapbook paper, and voila, homemade sugar scrub.
Hope you have a great Mother's Day! ♥
